Spirit Level is proud to announce their latest Australian signing, Melbourne-based "emotional pop" duo Telling.

Telling merges two very distinct but equally strong creative voices into a perfect marriage: soulful singer-songwriter and recent Secretly Canadian signing Ben Abraham, and innovative electronic/pop producer Tim Shiel.

“New Love” showcases the duo at their most ambitious - it’s a bold anthem about picking up the pieces after things have fallen apart. Abraham passionately calls upon a friend to pull themselves together, while Shiel’s driving production seamlessly weaves together a vast array of sounds - from harp progressions and choral samples, to string sections and plaintive solo piano. The song closes with an unlikely talkbox solo from Spirit Level co-founder Wally de Backer aka Gotye.

Telling are a formidable songwriting and production team, and they join Braille Face and Zammuto on the expanding Spirit Level roster.
